Access Control Technical Sales Executive




We are seeking an Access Control Technical Sales Executive with proven experience in a technical sales environment, ideally within access control, fire and security, or an electrical wholesaler supporting access control installations. You are likely already handling customer enquiries, preparing quotations, and converting opportunities, and may also be supporting colleagues or customers with low-level access control and electronic locking queries as part of your current role.


This position is suited to someone with strong sales capability and commercial awareness, who is confident speaking with trade customers and managing enquiries from initial call through to order. You will already have some exposure to access control products or systems and, importantly, a willingness to deepen your technical knowledge. You will be supported through structured training and ongoing mentoring by our Access Control Technical Manager, enabling you to develop into a confident technical specialist while remaining in a commercially focused sales role.

This role will suit you if you:

Currently work, or have previously worked, in access control, fire and security, or electrical wholesale sales Have proven experience handling sales enquiries, raising quotations, and converting opportunities into orders Regularly deal with trade customers by phone and email and are confident managing technical conversations Have experience supporting colleagues or customers with low-level access control or electronic locking queries Are commercially minded, organised, and disciplined in following up quotations Want to deepen your access control knowledge and develop into a technical specialist with structured support

What you will be doing day to day




In this role, you will be:

Acting as a first point of contact for access control and electronic locking enquiries Taking inbound calls and emails from trade customers and existing accounts Preparing accurate technical quotations and system recommendations Following up quotations to drive conversion and margin Supporting customers and colleagues with low-level access control queries, escalating complex issues when required Managing and developing existing customer accounts to increase product adoption and spend Working closely with the Access Control Technical Manager on more complex or specialist enquiries Maintaining accurate CRM records and customer documentation

Training and development

You will receive structured access control training designed to build on your existing technical sales experience. This will include product knowledge, system selection, compatibility guidance, and an understanding of how access control solutions are specified and installed.


You will be supported by our Access Control Technical Manager, who will provide ongoing mentoring and technical oversight as you develop deeper access control expertise. Complex or unfamiliar enquiries will be escalated appropriately, ensuring you are never left to manage technical risk alone.


Training is practical, structured, and aligned to real customer enquiries, enabling you to develop into a confident access control technical sales specialist while remaining focused on commercial outcomes.
