This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the Information Governance team at Waverley Borough Council and Guildford Borough Council.
As Access to Information Rights Coordinator, you will join a friendly and supportive team and actively liaise with officers in all service areas of the Council.

Key Responsibilities include:

Receive, log and assess written requests for information.

Liaise with relevant service areas to respond to these requests in line with current Information Governance legalisation to ensure an excellent and timely service is delivered.

Liaise with the Head of Information Governance & Data Protection Officer and/or Access to Information Rights Officer on information/data protection matters as required

Identify where exemptions may apply, prepare refusal notice following ICO guidelines and where necessary obtain advice or approval from the Legal Services team

Maintain web pages relevant to Information Rights.

Prepare regular reports of requests for information/performance figures

This is a permanent, full time role, 37 hours per week.
