Mears provides temporary accommodation to asylum seekers whilst their claim is being assessed in three regions: Northwest, Yorkshire and Humber, Northern Ireland, and Scotland. At the end of May 2021 Mears had over 19000 service users across the three regions. Mears work in partnership with central and local Government, registered providers, tenants, landlords and investors to find solutions to homelessness, provide more social and affordable housing and create specialist housing for people with care needs.

About the Role:

Due to an high increase in workload and new acquisition wins we are looking for a Accommodation Coordinator to join our team.

As an Accommodation Coordinator within Mears, you will be working alongside the transport team to move service users in smoothly and efficiently.

An Accommodation Coordinator within our Enfield branch your main duties will be being responsible for allocating bed spaces to service users quickly to minimise loss of income. Keeping safeguarding and Service User experience at the heart of the service will be key to succeeding in this role. Ensure all Service User notifications are processed accurately and efficiently to match the Service User to a bedspace. An important part of the role is to work closely with regional teams and transport team throughout the whole service user process.

Role Criteria:

  • Previous experience in an administration / business administration-based role.
  • Ideally you will have worked within housing / property
  • Ability to deal with allocations
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good working knowledge of office IT products and software.
  • Ability to prioritise your workload and will be willing to go the extra mile.
  • A positive, self-motivated, self disciplined and enthusiastic individual who has a strong work ethic
