We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Account Clerk to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various accounting tasks, including maintaining financial records, processing invoices, and ensuring accurate reporting. This role is essential in supporting the overall financial health of the organisation and requires proficiency in accounting software.
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
Prepare and reconcile bank statements.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and budgets.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
Utilise accounting software Xero for daily operations.
Support month-end closing activities by providing necessary documentation.
Qualifications
Proven experience as an Account Clerk or in a similar role.
Proficiency in accounting software Xero is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
