Account Director
Harman, a renowned brand in the audio industry, has joined the Havas Entertainment team! HARMAN is a global leader in connected car technology, lifestyle audio innovations, professional audio and lighting solutions, and digital transformation. Brands within the Harman portfolio include JBL, Harman Kardon, AKG and Arcam.
We manage Harman's EMEA multi-market campaigns, operating across 12 markets, which can be briefed by local, EMEA or Global markets. Our focus is on the strategy, planning and implementation of both upper and lower funnel activity, designed to raise awareness and drive consideration of the brand in-market, flexing according to market stage and local market nuances. Working with the client as a central function across all their campaign launches, means that multiple campaigns can be briefed into the team at any one time.
We are looking for a brilliant Account Director to join the team. Reporting to the Business Director and responsible for managing and developing an Account Manager(s), the candidate will also sit within a much wider team which comprises a Managing Partner, Client Partner, Account Directors, an additional Account Managers and Account Executive.
You will support the Business Director in the development and roll out of account guidelines and processes to ensure that the account runs smoothly and work closely with the activation team to ensure plans move efficiently from planning into activation stage, providing a holistic view on how campaigns are to be activated across multiple markets.
International experience is ideal and expected for this role.
The position requires a minimum of 4+ years working within a media agency environment. We need an enthusiastic and pro-active candidate who is accustomed to the pressures and quick turnarounds of key account handling across all media. The candidate should showcase specific skills and experience relating to digital buying and planning. Experience in managing digital campaigns, and familiarity with insight tools such as GWI, Similarweb, YouGov, etc. would be beneficial as would implementation and optimisation within the digital self-service platforms (Facebook Business Manager/ Google AdWords, etc).
Additional planning skills across all ATL channels will be required to succeed in this role.
All-rounders who can have well informed client conversations; channel neutrality and brand, performance, skillsets geared towards the needs of the clients. A focus on the discipline of media experiences with accountability into the Business Director/Client Partner.
This person should be curious about the worlds of business, marketing, comms and media. They should be constantly pushing for the highest standard of thinking and delivery for clients. They must be equally passionate about the value that a media experience can bring to a client's business and are training their teams. Their general channel knowledge is always on point.
They should be able to:Identify & define of target audience(s) built out GWI or other audience tools. Lead on budget allocation across channels based on audience and objective. Build out a media recommendation based on the clients brief & strategy. Delivery of overall schematic and articulation of how channels work together. Build a measurement framework including KPIs in conjunction with specialists. Create the brief (inc. supporting material) and work out how best to share with relevant internal specialist teams. Work with Account Managers and/or Account Executives to act as quality control on detailed plan recommendations to ensure that they deliver against the overall strategy. Support specialist teams with insights and recommendations for in-flight optimisation. Provide insightful post campaign evaluations. Multi-market and stakeholder management experience is necessary. Senior client management experience required. Cross-agency collaboration experience required to support launch of campaigns. Proven management of at least one Exec in previous roles.

In addition to this you will be expected to:Be highly visible to clients regarding strategy & planning discussions. Management and development of direct reports Work closely with data and strategy communities to ensure that we continue to evolve the media experience that we deliver to clients. Work collaboratively with the client leadership team to drive overall strategic relationship with client Build relationships with creative / content stakeholders to ensure that content is optimised to the recommendation. Build relationships with key media owners to help evolve recommendations and stay on top of industry developments. Lead by example, as a senior member of the agency your behaviour sets the tone for the rest of your team. Responsible for multi-million-pound projects, leading the comms and progress of activity Commitment to own self development and have a creative outlook to identify new opportunities Attention to detail Finance management oversight for all campaigns. Contribute to new business efforts. Make sure that our best work is entered into industry awards. Keep on top of the latest thinking on how media works. Manage a team of 3 including 2x AMs and 1 x AEs but working within a wider team of including a BD, another AD, AM, AE and CP.

Due to the nature of our agency and business, the candidate must have good communication skills; able to multi-task to an exceptional level; good organisational skills and understand that a high level of service to our clients is expected. An additional benefit would be experience in the entertainment industries and/or a passion for entertainment.
Other InformationOffice hours are 9.15am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday. 25 days holiday per annum. 4 days mental health allowance Full training will be provided once evaluation of skill set has been undertaken. Hybrid Working (3 days a week in the office)
