Job Description

Custard is a positioning consultancy for hotels, event venues and organisations representing the hospitality and events industries.

We are looking for a Marketing and PR professional who thrives on leadership, building robust strategies and has experience in providing expert consultancy to event venues or B2B businesses.

You will be responsible for protecting and enhancing the reputation of the event venues and B2B-focused clients within our portfolio, leading account teams, and building long-term relationships with clients, suppliers, and the media.

You will have bags of experience in the business meetings and events sector and understand the full marketing mix, delivering strong positioning strategies for our clients and building confident thought leadership on behalf of key spokespeople.

What you'll do



Strategic Consultancy & Delivery

Lead the development and implementation of integrated PR, Marketing and Brand strategies for event venues and B2B-focused clients Spot trends, industry shifts and market developments, and translate them into actionable opportunities for our clients Create and deliver campaigns that elevate our clients' presence within the business meetings and events industry. Identify, pitch and secure editorial, thought leadership and profiling opportunities that enhance the position of our clients.
Client Management

Build deep, trusted relationships with clients, keeping them informed, inspired and engaged. Offer expert counsel to clients on industry trends and opportunities Confidently lead on complex challenges, sensitive issues and crisis management when needed.
Team Guidance & Project Delivery

Guide and support account teams to deliver work on time, on budget and to a high standard. Monitor and measure impact, using insights to optimise performance and evolve strategies. Champion knowledge-sharing across the team by keeping up to date with industry news, trends and innovations. Work closely with partners across SEO, design, digital, photography and videography to ensure seamless end-to-end delivery.

What You'll Bring



Minimum 5 years' experience in marketing, PR, communications or within hospitality, events, venues or wider B2B sectors. Deep understanding of the UK business meetings and events industry, including the media landscape. Proven ability to think strategically and deliver creatively. Excellent communication and consultancy skills, able to influence and inspire clients with confidence. Strong team management experience and an aptitude for motivating and developing others. Brilliant organisation, planning and prioritisation abilities. A mindset that is proactive, curious and hungry to grow.
