Account Manager — International Events

This is a high-visibility role where your wins directly shape our growth, you'll travel internationally, and you'll receive full training, clear career progression and hands-on support from a tight-knit team.

The Role



You will sell sponsorship packages and drive delegate acquisition for flagship conferences, owning the full sales cycle from prospecting to long-term account management. You will represent Extensia to senior executives, build trusted relationships, and deliver measurable commercial results that expand our portfolio and reputation across EMEA.

Core responsibilities



Identify, prospect and close new sponsors and delegates for existing events. Manage and grow a portfolio of accounts, delivering repeat business and upsell opportunities. Create tailored commercial proposals and present confidently by phone and face to face. Collaborate with Marketing, Operations and Content teams to align offers and maximise event ROI. Track pipeline, forecast accurately and report on KPIs that demonstrate impact.

What Success Looks Like



Consistently meet and exceed sales targets while building a steadily expanding base of returning clients. Clear, measurable uplift in sponsorship revenue and delegate numbers within 6-12 months. Strong client satisfaction and long-term partnerships that lead to referrals and new business. Well-documented account plans and scalable processes you helped implement.

Essential qualities



Outgoing, confident communicator with a tenacious, likeable approach. Proven ability to build relationships at senior levels and close high-value deals. Strong phone and face-to-face presentation skills and commercial creativity. Organised, IT literate and comfortable working to targets in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to travel internationally across EMEA and work flexibly outside standard hours when required.

Valuable experience



Sales or business development background; exhibition, sponsorship or conference sales a strong advantage. Familiarity with technology or telecoms sectors is helpful but not essential if you learn quickly and are commercially minded.
