Account Manager / Sales Executive

London, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Company Overview

Our company specializes in drainage, plumbing, and maintenance services across London and the surrounding regions. We are committed to delivering reliable infrastructure solutions that ensure the safety and comfort of our clients' properties while upholding the highest standards of quality and professionalism.

About the Role

We're seeking a motivated and personable Account Manager / Sales Executive to join a

growing service-based business. This is a hybrid role - split between office-based account

management and field-based sales. You'll be responsible for developing new business

opportunities, nurturing existing relationships, and ensuring clients receive an exceptional

service. Location: North West London (split between office-based and field sales)

Main Duties & Responsibilities

? Act as the main point of contact for a portfolio of existing clients, providing excellent

customer service and maintaining strong relationships.

? Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities across both commercial

and domestic sectors.

? Conduct field-based sales visits, including site inspections, client meetings, and

presentations, alongside office-based proposal work and follow-ups.

? Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations and tailored proposals to

demonstrate value and service quality.

? Manage the full sales process - from lead generation and quotation through to

contract negotiation and account retention.

? Maintain accurate records within CRM systems, tracking leads, opportunities, and

client communications.

? Liaise closely with operational and service teams to ensure smooth delivery and high

levels of client satisfaction.

? Attend industry networking events, exhibitions, or meetings to raise the company's

profile and expand its client base.

? Work towards agreed sales targets and KPIs focused on both new business and

account growth.

? Provide regular sales performance and market insight reports to management.

Working Pattern & Environment

? Approximately 50% of your time will be office-based (client calls, proposals, admin)

and 50% will involve field sales (client visits, networking, site inspections).

? The role offers a mix of autonomy and teamwork, ideal for someone who enjoys

variety in their day-to-day work.

? You'll be expected to travel across the London region and surrounding areas for

client meetings and site visits.

Salary & Benefits

? 35,000-40,000 base salary (dependent on experience) + commissions.

? Commission structure rewarding both new business wins and account growth.

? Opportunity to join a successful and expanding organisation with strong values and

customer focus.

? A diverse role offering both office-based and client-facing responsibilities.

Who We're Looking For

? Proven experience in account management, business development, or sales, ideally

within a service-based or B2B environment.

? Confident in managing existing accounts while also identifying and developing new

business opportunities.

? Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

? Organised, self-motivated, and target-driven with the ability to manage your own

schedule.

? Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

? Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for client meetings.
