We are seeking a dedicated and results-driven Account Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing client relationships, driving sales growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and a demonstrated leadership capacity to foster collaboration within the team and with clients.
Responsibilities
Identify and pursue opportunities to expand the use of products and services within the current customer base
Assist with the development and execution of strategic plans to drive revenue growth from existing accounts
Regularly communicate with existing customers to provide updates on new products, features, and services
Proactively identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to increase revenue from current customers
Conduct regular account reviews to ensure customer satisfaction and identify additional business opportunities
Handle inbound enquiries with the goal of converting prospects into new customers
Proactively generate new business opportunities through online research and outreach:
Assist the Commercial Manager and Account Manager to build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to understand their business needs and objectives
Collaborate with the Commercial Manager and Account Manager to align on account strategies and ensure seamless handoff of identified opportunities
Add new leads, prospects, and customer interactions to the CRM system and keep records consistently updated to reflect progress, next steps, and outcomes.
Create and manage customer development plans
Dealing with telephone calls and email enquiries
Qualifications
Previous business to business sales experience required
Problem solver and logical thinker
Excellent customer communication skills
Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
Networking Skills - Able to develop relationships with customers
Presentation Skills - Able present to customers and colleagues, face to face, and online
Experienced in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Good attention to detail
Ability to meet deadlines
Experience with Sage 50 / 200 ideal but not essential
Report writing skills
Positive attitude, energetic approach and self-motivated
Ability to work on you own initiative and manage own workload
Excellent Project and Time management skills - be able to manage your time and projects effectively, prioritising important tasks
Be driven, passionate and be prepared to go the extra mile
Strong organisational skills
