We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for our many and varied clients, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential for this role. The successful applicant will play a crucial part in supporting our financial operations and contributing to the overall efficiency of the organisation. An ability to mix book keeping ability some PA work would be a great advantage, as would having some level of payroll processing using Sage.
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software
Process accounts payable and receivable
Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow
Prepare monthly financial reports for clients
Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and reports
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and analysis
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role, ideally for an accountancy practice.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
