As we continue to grow, we're looking for a motivated and detail-driven Compliance Accountant to join our expanding team.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious accountant who enjoys getting stuck into the detail and delivering high-quality work. Reporting to the Partners, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate accounts and personal tax returns, supporting clients directly, and contributing to our reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Preparation:
Prepare annual accounts for a variety of clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion.
Personal Tax:
Prepare personal tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and submission deadlines.
Client Liaison:
Communicate with clients and partners regarding queries, updates, and progress on work.
Team Collaboration:
Support colleagues and share knowledge, contributing to a positive and high-performing team environment.
KPI Performance:
Work proactively to meet individual and team KPIs aligned with business goals.
Client Service:
Maintain high levels of service by managing deadlines, responding promptly to queries, and providing added value wherever possible.
What We're Looking For
AAT qualified or ACCA/ACA part-qualified/qualified (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a practice environment
Solid understanding of UK accounting and tax compliance
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering accurate and timely work
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Organised, driven, and motivated by performance targets
Comfortable with cloud accounting platforms (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks)
