We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our financial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and supporting the organisation's financial health. Responsibilities
Prepare, examine, and maintain financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently and accurately
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with organisational policies and regulatory standards
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly
Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities to support strategic planning
Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on accounting procedures and best practices
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data entry and reporting
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal controls
Skills
Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft
Strong understanding of financial services, financial management, and financial accounting principles
Proficiency in managing accounts payable processes and preparing detailed financial reports
Excellent organisational skills with keen attention to detail
Ability to analyse complex financial data and present clear insights
Effective mentoring skills to support team development
Strong communication skills for liaising across departments and external stakeholders
Ability to adapt quickly to new software systems or updates within the accounting domain
