We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our financial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities
Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and PeopleSoft
Prepare financial statements, reports, and analysis to support business decision-making
Oversee accounts payable processes ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping
Assist with accounts receivable functions and monitor cash flow activities
Reconcile bank statements and ensure compliance with organisational policies and regulatory standards
Support month-end and year-end closing processes
Provide mentoring to junior team members and assist in their professional development
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial management across the organisation
Contribute to continuous improvement of financial procedures and systems
Qualifications
Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar financial management role
Proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, and other relevant systems
Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and practices
Experience in managing accounts payable and receivable processes
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to analyse complex financial data and prepare clear reports
Strong communication skills suitable for mentoring team members and collaborating across departments
Relevant qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent are preferred but not essential
