Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of financial management principles.

MUST BE ICAEW or ACA QUALIFIED.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with accounting standards. Manage accounts payable and ensure timely processing of invoices. Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights to enhance financial performance. Mentor junior staff members and provide guidance on best practices in accounting. Utilise accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or PeopleSoft for efficient financial management. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies. Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives.

Requirements

Proven 3 years experience as an Accountant or in a similar role within the financial services sector. Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software including Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or PeopleSoft is highly desirable. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to mentor and develop junior team members effectively. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
