We are expanding our team at DJ Pape & Associates (NW) Ltd and are looking for a qualified and motivated Accountant to join our busy practice.

About the Role

This is a hands on and client facing role with responsibility for managing a varied portfolio of clients. You will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely work while maintaining strong client relationships. The role requires good technical knowledge, strong organisational skills and the confidence to work independently, with support from the wider team when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare year end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships Produce accurate working papers and ensure disclosures meet current standards Complete corporation tax returns, self-assessment tax returns and CT600 submissions Prepare VAT returns across a range of VAT schemes Liaise with clients to gather records, resolve queries and provide clear guidance Ensure all tax and Companies House filing deadlines are met Work collaboratively with the wider team to maintain a dependable and consistent service

Essential Requirements:

Previous experience working in an accountancy practice is essential AAT Qualified Competent user of IRIS Accountancy Suite or IRIS Elements Confident preparing tax returns, year-end accounts and VAT returns Strong understanding of UK accounting and tax principles High level of accuracy and strong organisational skills Professional, friendly and confident dealing directly with clients
