We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our financial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and supporting the organisation's financial management processes. Duties
Prepare, examine, and analyse financial statements and reports using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, and other relevant platforms.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently to ensure timely payments and collections.
Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with organisational policies and regulatory standards.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant.
Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff or interns within the finance department.
Collaborate with external auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Contribute to continuous improvement of financial management processes through innovative solutions.
Qualifications
Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role within the financial services sector.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or equivalent systems.
Strong understanding of financial management principles, including accounts payable and financial accounting practices.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Demonstrated mentoring capabilities with a collaborative approach to team development.
Relevant qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent are preferred but not essential.
