The accountant will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the financial operations of the organization. This role requires strong analytical skills, confidentiality, and the ability to work effectively within deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and maintain the general ledger
Prepare financial statements, management reports, and reconciliation schedules
Process accounts payable/receivable, expense claims, and vendor payments
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial transactions
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
Monitor budget variances and provide cost analysis support
Ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance in all financial documentation
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary records and clarifications
Liaise with vendors, clients, and internal departments regarding billing and payment matters
Maintain data integrity and confidentiality of financial information
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, ERP systems)
Advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills
Strong communication and analytical abilities
Ability to prioritize tasks and work under time constraints
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related discipline
2-4 years of professional accounting experience (preferred)
Knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance will be an advantage
