Hours:
Monday to Friday: 8.30am - 5pm (37.5 hours)
Main Responsibilities:
Supporting Senior & Department Managers
- production of monthly/weekly management information and maintaining regular meetings & reviews. Overview of robust financial controls working alongside management team.
Control Account Reconciliation
- Monitor and analyse account reconciliations, promptly reporting any variances to the Finance Director. Monitoring cash flow in line with bank account facilities.
Vehicle Stock and Ledger Management
- Manage effective use of Dealer Management System and all underlying modules including VSB, Sales and Purchase ledgers
Financial Reporting Support
- Assist with the preparation of accounts, statutory information and other necessary documentation for auditors and Inland Revenue requirements. Monitoring accruals, prepayments and provisions in line with company policy and assist with reviewing performance to budget
Process Improvement
- Identify and suggest improvements to current business processes to improve operational efficiency and increase profitability
Team Collaboration and Communication
- Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and external stakeholders, and communicate progress on objectives to the Finance Director
Policy and Compliance Adherence
- Uphold all company policies, including Health & Safety and data protection, ensuring all activities are compliant with legal and internal standards
We're Looking For!
Previous experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within the automotive industry
Familiarity with Keyloop, would be an advantage
Demonstrates a strong understand and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and work to deadlines
A team oriented mindset with a proactive and personable approach
