We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our financial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and supporting the organisation's financial management processes. Duties
Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.
Prepare and analyse financial statements, reports, and budgets in accordance with organisational policies.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently to ensure timely payments and collections.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Support internal audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial transactions.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial management and reporting.
Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on best practices in financial accounting and software utilisation.
Monitor cash flow and assist in forecasting financial trends to aid strategic decision-making.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal controls related to financial management.
Qualifications
Proven experience in financial accounting within a professional environment.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or equivalent systems.
Strong understanding of financial services industry standards and practices.
Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
Ability to interpret complex financial data and prepare comprehensive reports.
Experience in accounts payable processes and general ledger management.
Demonstrated ability to mentor colleagues and foster a collaborative team environment.
