We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities



Prepare, examine, and analyse financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping. Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms to record transactions and generate financial data. Reconcile bank statements and maintain general ledger entries with precision. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Support month-end and year-end closing procedures efficiently. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes. Maintain organised documentation of all financial transactions for audit purposes. Mentor junior team members in accounting practices and software utilisation where applicable.

Skills



Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms. Strong understanding of financial services and financial management principles. Experience with financial accounting processes such as reconciliations, ledger management, and reporting. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately under tight deadlines. Effective communication skills for mentoring colleagues and liaising across departments. Knowledge of accounts payable procedures and general ledger management. Ability to adapt quickly to new systems or updates within existing software environments.
