We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our financial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records
Process invoices, payments, and receipts
Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
Prepare financial reports and summaries as required
Monitor outstanding payments and follow up where necessary
Assist with payroll preparation
Support management with any ad-hoc accounting tasks
Prepare, examine, and analyse financial statements and reports using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, and other relevant programmes.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities to support organisational objectives.
Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently to uphold data integrity.
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Mentor junior staff members or interns in best practices for financial management and software utilisation.
Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.
Experience
Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role within a financial services environment.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or equivalent systems is essential.
Strong understanding of financial management principles and practices.
Experience with accounts payable, financial accounting, and regulatory compliance is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to mentor colleagues or interns effectively.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
