Our Company Colton Commercials Haulage Ltd has been established as a premier transport & logistics company since 1979, based primarily in Barking, Essex . We cover the whole of the UK and operate a fully Nationwide service on a 24/7 basis.
We are actively seeking an Accounts Invoicing / Credit Control / Payroll Administrator to be based at our Barking HQ. This position would ideally suit someone mature who has experience in an accounts department and in a Logistics environment.
Job Title: Accounts Administrator
Monday to Friday - 09.00 to 17.00 hrs
The role is available on a full time, permanent basis with excellent opportunities to progress
DUTIES (Full training will be given):
Invoicing customer orders within Mandata our Traffic Management System
Invoice Data entry onto Sage 50 accounts software . Effectively communicating invoicing delays and other issues to line manager
Credit Control - Sales Ledger, Reconciling payment received, chasing payments, sending statements, dealing with any queries and resolving in a timely manner
Payroll - preparation of payroll from drivers timesheets / clock cards and entering onto Sage 50 Cloud payroll system and running the payroll in full on a weekly basis. Full training will be given if required.
Assisting the Accounts Manager when required
Dealing with and resolving accounts based queries
Answering general phone calls and helping to deal with enquiries from both customers and drivers
Building and maintaining good working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders including team members, suppliers & customers
This list is by no means exhaustive and you will be required to help with other general administration duties to support the department
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
Previous accounts office experience is essential
Mandata experience is an advantage but not essential, training will be given
Sage 50 accounts (or similar) experience is essential
Sage Cloud50 payroll (or similar) experience is essential
Excellent communication skills in order to deliver accurate information
Able to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
Attention to detail and accuracy
Conscientious and reliable
Effectively prioritise work load in order to manage workload
Good standard of computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Applications / Sage
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with good telephone communication skills being essential to the role
Good level of customer service
