We are the proud owner of the Rotatech Brand (www.rotatechproducts.com) -- a leading UK brand supplying chainsaw chains, lubricants, and associated machinery to customers across the forestry, recycling, and engineering sectors. Around 50% of our sales are generated through our ecommerce websites and online platforms, making us a modern, digitally driven manufacturer with a strong online presence.
As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Book Keeper/ Accounts administrator to take responsibility for the finance function and support our management team.
The Role
This role at Saturn Machine Knives Ltd will involve overseeing all aspects of the finance function, from day-to-day bookkeeping to monthly management reporting. This position combines traditional manufacturing accounting with ecommerce operations, providing an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a growing SME.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of company accounts, including ledgers, reconciliations, and monthly reporting.
Process accurate and timely monthly payroll.
Handle accounts payable and receivable, including supplier payments and credit control.
Complete daily and monthly bank reconciliations and manage cash flow forecasting.
Prepare and submit VAT returns.
Support month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals, prepayments, and management accounts.
Work with directors on budgets, forecasts, and margin analysis.
Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and suppliers.
Reconcile ecommerce sales, fees, and payments from www.rotatech.com and other online platforms.
Support continuous improvement and efficiency across all financial processes.
About You
Proven experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within a manufacturing or SME environment.
You must be fully qualified.
Strong knowledge of Sage 50 accounting software.
Confident with Excel and IT systems.
Experience working with online sales platforms and ecommerce transactions.
Familiarity with Linnworks or similar inventory management systems is an advantage.
Excellent attention to detail and organisation.
Self-motivated and capable of managing the finance function independently.
