We are looking for a highly motivated, confident Accounts Administrator to join our busy finance team based in Newtownards.
Duties will include providing accurate purchase and sales ledger administrative support within the team; ensuring reconciliations and payments are processed on a timely basis, including processing data on a computerised system; Compiling and reporting figures to the Management Accountant and Team Leader.
Other duties include: ensuring all reconciliations for the company distribution centres are completed in a timely manner, investigating any discrepancies as appropriate; processing supplier payments; general accounts filing and ad hoc accounts department duties including providing cover for reception.
You will report directly to the Management Accountant and be capable of working under pressure to meet departmental deadlines.
The criteria for this role is as below:-
Previous experience working within a busy accounts office environment;
Experience and working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Excel;
Experience of working with accounting system packages;
Bookkeeping experience;
Excellent organisational and communication skills;
Able to demonstrate a high level of accuracy and analytical ability;
Competent in the use of various IT programmes, including Microsoft Office (preferably Sage 50 and Sage 200);
A positive approach to problem solving and able to work well as part of a team is essential.
An accounts qualification or working towards an accounts qualification would be desirable
