We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounts Administrator to join our team. As an Accounts Administrator, you will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. The ideal candidate will experience in a similar role.
Main Responsibilities:
- Performing data entry and maintaining accurate financial records
- Entering purchase invoices
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies
- Reconciling credit card statements
- Assisting with payroll & pension processing
- Handling supplier queries
- Preparing monthly invoices and customer statements
- Assisting with accounts payable and receivable functions
- Assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Credit control
- Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc tasks as required
- Assisting with incoming calls
- Managing accounts inbox
Requirements:
- GCSEs including Maths and English (Higher qualification desirable)
- Strong IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask, work independently and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Professional telephone manner
- Presentable, personable and approachable
- Experience in managing enquiries, supporting a team and processing documentation
- Experience in purchase ledger or similar finance duties
This role also involves covering reception, so we are seeking a warm and friendly person to welcome and serve customers.
