Assistant

to join our finance team based in

Accrington.

Accounts Assistant

, you will report into the Finance Manager and play an important part in the finance department.

Main duties will be:

Maintain and update financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies as they arise Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes Assist with managing sales ledger and emailing customer statements Confirming incoming customer receipts and releasing orders Raising customer Invoices & Credit Notes Raising Intercompany invoices Performing day-to-day bank and ledger reconciliations Other administrative and ad hoc duties

Our ideal candidate:

Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting principles Previous experience working within an accounts department of 3+ years Excellent numeracy and ICT skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively SAP B1 experience desirable GCSE A - C in Maths and English, or equivalent
