Responsibilities
Contribute to a friendly, welcoming environment at Home Hardware at all times.
Process purchase ledger invoices, raise payments and reconcile supplier accounts.
Process sales ledger invoices, allocate payments and reconcile customer accounts.
Carry out credit control for customer accounts.
Reconcile bank accounts.
Assist in preparing general accounts to trial balance.
Support the preparation of VAT returns.
Perform general filing duties daily.
Handle incoming calls and emails from customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
Respond to staff and customer queries related to accounts.
Skills Required
Previous experience in an accounting role, particularly within purchase ledger
Proficiency in using accounting systems
Working knowledge of accounts up to trial balance
Understanding of VAT processes
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Strong time management and organisational abilities.
Commitment to complying with company Health & Safety policies.
