Job Description

Toal Truck Services is a family run business based in Middletown. Co. Armagh (beside the Monaghan border). It was established in 1993 and has grown exponentially since then. At TTS we specialise in the following areas;

-Extensive Parts Department

-HGV Repairs and Maintenance

-Breakdown and Recovery Service

-Truck and Trailer Bodyshop

-Comprehensive Rental Fleet

-Renault Truck Agent

About the Role:

In this pivotal role, you'll support the day-to-day financial operations of the business, focusing on managing accounts payable and receivable.

You'll work closely with our finance team to ensure accurate, timely processing of transactions and help maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers. Over time, you'll take full responsibility for the ledgers, becoming a key figure in our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the management of the creditor (accounts payable) and debtor (accounts receivable) ledgers Process invoices, credit notes, and payments accurately and efficiently Reconcile supplier statements and customer accounts Follow up on outstanding payments and resolve invoice queries Support month-end and year-end closing processes Maintain accurate financial records and documentation Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth financial workflows Gradually take full ownership of ledger management responsibilities
What We're Looking For

Previous experience in a finance or accounts role (1-3 years preferred) Strong understanding of basic accounting principles Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) and Excel Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude Willingness to learn and grow into a more senior finance role
