We are now seeking a part-time experienced Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team at our Gower Street site in Farnworth, Bolton.
Part-time, 20 to 25 hours per week (over 4 or 5 days/flexible).
Key Responsibilities
Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support the Finance team with day-to-day accounting operations. The successful candidate will assist with financial processing, reconciliations, and administrative tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across accounts functions.
Key Responsibilities
Take ownership and control of the day-to-day management of electricity and water accounts
Process purchase invoices and accurately match them to purchase orders
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable and receivable records
Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations
Support month-end accounting processes
Enter and maintain financial data within Sage accounting software
Process and manage employee expense claims
File financial documentation and maintain organised digital and physical records
Provide ad-hoc support to the Finance Manager, including reports and administrative tasks
Required Skills & Experience
Previous experience in bookkeeping, finance, or accounting support roles
Working knowledge of Sage accounting software
Strong numerical ability with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Good understanding of basic accounting principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general office software
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently
