Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Location: Remote in Based

Salary: 27,300 - 30,225

FTE



Hours: 16 hours per week (with potential to increase as the company grows)

Contract: Permanent

About Us:

The Bristol Care Group is a growing and ambitious company currently seeking an

experienced, proactive and detail-focused Accounts Assistant to support our expanding

finance function. This role offers the opportunity to get involved in a wide range of

accounting tasks and grow with the business.

Initially part-time, we expect this role to increase in hours over time as the company

continues to expand. We're looking for someone who can work confidently on their own

initiative and is keen to develop the role as the business evolves. The role is remote but

requires attendance at regular meetings in the Bristol area.

Key Responsibilities:

? Purchase Ledger:

o Processing supplier invoices and credit notes

o Managing payment runs and supplier queries

o Maintaining up-to-date supplier records

? Sales Ledger:

o Raising and issuing customer invoices

o Managing customer accounts and chasing overdue payments

o Posting and reconciling incoming payments

? Bank & Credit Card Reconciliations:

o Performing regular reconciliations for multiple accounts

o Investigating discrepancies and ensuring accuracy

? Draft Accounts to Trial Balance:

o Preparing accurate records up to trial balance

? Payroll:

o Compiling monthly payroll for processing. Checking reports for accuracy.

o Entering payroll journals and maintaining payroll records

? Supplier, Utilities & Contract Management:

o Liaising with suppliers, utilities, and insurance providers

o Managing renewals and ensuring best value across services

? General Office Administration:

o Providing admin support across the business as required.

o Maintaining digital filing systems

About You:

? At least 2 years' experience in a similar accounts/finance role

? AAT Level 2 qualified (Level 3 or working towards an advantage)

? Confident working independently and taking initiative

? Eager to take ownership and develop the role over time

? Proficient in accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks - specify if

needed)

? Strong Microsoft Excel and data entry skills

? Organised, accurate, and comfortable managing multiple tasks and decision making.
