We're looking for an experienced and talented Accounts Assistant to join our friendly and professional finance team. You'll support the Head of Finance with a range of day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks -- helping us keep things running smoothly and accurately across all areas of finance.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, precision, and teamwork. You'll need to be well-organised, proactive, and confident in managing multiple priorities with attention to detail.
What You'll Do
Manage Accounts Receivable: Sales invoicing (including CIS/Reverse Charge VAT), weekly credit control, and customer queries
Handle Accounts Payable: Process purchase invoices, assist with payment runs, and reconcile supplier statements
Complete bank reconciliations, record expenses, and manage vehicle lease payments
Support month-end tasks: accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and control account reconciliations
Maintain electronic and paper filing systems, manage the accounts inbox, and handle general finance admin
Assist the Head of Finance with weekly reporting and provide cover when required
About You
AAT Level 3 qualified or studying towards it
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar accounts role
Proficient in SAGE 50 and Microsoft Office (especially Excel formulas)
Good knowledge of bookkeeping, accruals, prepayments, VAT, and credit control
Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills
Confident on the phone and able to work both independently and as part of a team
