We are a domiciliary care provider start up with a vision to change the way care is delivered to enable people to stay at home safely for longer.
The Accounts Assistant is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day processing of accounting transactions and credit control for the business. You will ideally have experience of Xero and be used to working in a finance or accounts function. Close attention to detail, honesty and integrity are essential in this role. There are opportunities for growth within the company along with study support for the right candidate.
Issuing supplier invoices in line with company processes and supplier SLA/contracts using various portals
Processing invoices and credit notes
Investigating purchase invoice queries
Liaising with managers regarding invoice queries
Reconciling supplier statements and queries solving
Accurately entering purchase invoices in Xero via Hubdoc
Updating cashflow forecast
Overseeing credit control and ensuring debt is kept to a minimum
Prepayments and accruals
Supporting care home invoicing and cashflow
Producing reports and adding payroll journals in Xero
Liaising with suppliers and providing quick responses to escalated queries
Ad-hoc tasks as required
Experience required
Experience as an accounts assistant in a similar role - Essential
AAT qualification or relevant all round accounting experience
Experience of using Xero
Self-motivated and enjoy working in a fast paced environment working to deadlines
Have good Excel skills
Ability to multitask and prioritise workload
Excellent organisational and communication skills
