The Opportunity
Due to growth across the business, an opportunity has arisen within Head Office Finance team for an Accounts Assistant to join our team.
Working as part of the Accounts team to process invoices, credit notes, and supplier payments, respond to supplier queries on a timely basis and assist with the month end process. The role will be based in the Head Office in Cookstown, Northern Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
Matching purchase orders
Processing purchase invoices and monthly supplier statement reconciliations
Reconcile company bank accounts in various currencies
Assist with preparation of accounts
Reconciliation of intercompany balances
Maintenance of control accounts
Assist with preparation of VAT returns, Intrastat and EC Sales
Assist with maintaining schedules during preparation of quarterly accounts
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Ad hoc duties as and when required
Our Ideal Candidate
Previous work experience in a similar role.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Proficiency in MS Excel
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Highly motivated - able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
