We are looking for a motivated and keen AAT, or similar, Accounts Assistant to work with our UK Finance Team primarily responsible for the Europe, Africa and Asia Pacific (EAA) region. You will have the opportunity to show off your up to date multinational company accounting experience as well as further developing your finance skills in our excellent and collaborative team. Over time it is expected this person will develop into the APAC regional accountant and financial focal point. There will also be the opportunity to become more involved in annual budgeting, business plans, external audits and local tax matters. This is a full time hybrid role working a minimum of three days in the office.
Your duties will include:
Work to strict month end deadlines
Processing expense receipts, dealing with any queries and reviewing and releasing expense claims
Calculating & processing all manner of journals including depreciation, bank, prepayments, accruals, WIP
Processing credit card receipts and claims
Collation and recording of supplier invoices into accounts package and dealing with any queries
Assistance with reviewing project setups and rates applied within the accounts package
Reviewing and releasing weekly timecards submitted by staff
Credit Control
Preparation of client invoices
Bank and all balance sheet reconciliations including control accounts
Balance all intercompany accounts
Assistance with preparation of audit information and liaison with local auditors
Other general finance tasks as required
Intercompany transfer pricing
Detailed knowledge of all relevant client contracts
Essential skills:
Capable and driven accounting professional, ideally AAT Qualified or part qualified or qualified through experience.
Multiple currency experience.
Accurately manage all intercompany control accounts.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial transactions.
Good written and spoken English, excellent interpersonal skills.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel.
Desirable skills:
Knowledge of online accounting packages.
A proactive approach to problem-solving.
Eagerness to learn and develop within the accounting field.
