We are currently looking for an account assistant at our head office in Felixstowe.

Salary:

Dependent on experience

Hours:

09.00 - 17.00 - Monday to Friday with 1 hour lunch - 35 hours per week

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Process payments

Enter and code financial transactions appropriately

Sales and purchasing invoices

Banking and keep up records

POD's

Payroll

Check financial transactions for accuracy

Key data into company accounting system

Processing weekly reports

Requirements:

Essential:

Ability to be an effective team player

Ability to establish effective working relationships

Be able to work to tight deadlines

Ability to multi-task with a calm and flexible approach

Positive attitude

Knowledge of accounting terminology

Experience with accounting systems

Attention to detail

Data entry

Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and all other in-house systems

Mathematical skills

Desirable:

Experience with bookkeeping practice

Experience with the Sage software

Understanding of filing systems

Administrative skills

Analytical skills

Knowledge of accountant rules and legislation

Ability to work in a small team

Be able to work to tight deadlines

Methodical and organised approach

Capable of operating with minimal supervision

Previous road haulage experience
