The Role
We are seeking an
Accounts Assistant
to join our friendly and collaborative finance team based in
Felixstowe
.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with existing accounts experience who is looking to broaden their skills and gain further exposure within a busy finance environment.
Working within the
Sage 200
system, you will support the day-to-day financial operations of the business -- including purchase and sales ledger duties -- and play an important part in ensuring accuracy and efficiency across our accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities
Processing
shipping line and haulier invoices
Accurate
coding and processing of supplier invoices
Reconciling
supplier statements
Accurate
coding and processing of customer invoices
Sending
statements and copy invoices/credit notes
Handling
queries from suppliers and customers
Assisting the team with
ad hoc finance projects
Sorting and managing the
accounts inbox
Supporting the
credit control
function as required
Requirements & Skills
Experience in
day-to-day accounts processing
, including
purchase and sales ledger
Proficient with
accounting software (preferably Sage 200)
and
Microsoft Excel
Organised and methodical
, with strong attention to detail
Team-oriented
, with good communication and time management skills
Previous experience of the industry would be beneficial but not essential.
Previous experience of Multifreight would be an advantage.
