We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will support the organisation's financial operations by managing accounts payable, data entry, and maintaining accurate financial records. The role involves the diligent accounts management of a subsidiary (approx. 40m euros sales) in the EU and involves various reconciliation and cash management.
Keys tasks in this fast moving business include Invoicing, multi-currency management, shipping costs allocation and the country purchase ledger including supplier due diligence and Vat returns (Credit control is not part of the role) .
Training is given where required.
The ideal candidate will have had some accounts experience and have the capacity to learn and develop. A proactive, diligent and "self starter" attitude is required.
Example of duties core Duties
Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments
Perform data entry tasks with precision to maintain up-to-date financial records
Reconcile accounts using MS Navision
Assist with month-end closing activities and prepare financial reports as required
Support the finance team in processing invoices and expense claims
Maintain organised records of all financial documents for audit purposes
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy in financial data management
Qualifications
Strong foundation knowledge of accounts payable processes and financial operations.
Proficiency in data entry with high attention to detail and accuracy
Familiarity with accounting platforms is advantageous
Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Previous experience working within a finance or administrative environment is preferred
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
