We are recruiting for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our friendly team at our head office in Holmewood, Chesterfield. This is a full-time, permanent, office-based role.
The successful candidate will support the finance department with day-to-day accounting duties, alongside general office administration, within a fast-paced finance environment.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with a flexible attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You will contribute positively to our workplace culture and become an integral part of our growing business.
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Maintaining the sales ledger and accounts receivable
Bank reconciliations
Monitoring credit limits and credit scores
Maintaining the purchase ledger and reconciling supplier statements for payment
Raising invoice queries and chasing credit notes
Processing intercompany recharges
Assisting with payroll and recording employee hours
Assisting with customer invoicing
Handling incoming and outgoing mail
Answering telephone calls and emails
General office administration, including correspondence, filing, and printing
About You:
Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A-C (or equivalent), including Maths and English
Previous experience working in an accounts department
Experience using Sage 50 and Xero is desirable
Good IT skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
Strong organisational and administration skills
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to multitask while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
Able to work independently and as part of a team

Salary: 27,000-34,000 per annum, depending on experience
