We are currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. You'll play a key role in supporting the accounting department by managing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring smooth financial operations.
What You'll Be Doing:
In this role, you'll handle essential finance and administrative tasks to keep our financial records organised and up to date. Key responsibilities include:
Maintaining and updating financial records and databases
Responding to internal and external enquiries related to accounts and financial transactions
Performing general administrative duties, including filing and documentation
Ensuring adherence to company policies in all financial transactions
Handling AP and AR transactions
Support colleagues across the Finance Team during busy periods or holidays
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.
What We're Looking For:
To succeed in the role, you'll need strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. We're looking for someone who:
Has at least 5 years experience within a similar role
Is proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Has experience with Sage (essential); familiarity with Uptick (desirable)
Possesses strong numerical and analytical skills
Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and accuracy in their work
Has effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Can manage time well and work independently as well as part of a team
