We are seeking an organised, methodical person with good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy to join our small, friendly team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Managing Director with various financial tasks. Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks is highly desirable.
Duties
Assist in the management of accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation in accordance with company policies.
Process invoices, expense claims, and payments while ensuring compliance with internal controls.
Reconcile bank statements and assist with month-end closing procedures.
Support the preparation of financial reports by gathering and analysing data.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and provide financial insights as needed.
Utilise Sage200 accounting software to perform daily tasks efficiently.
Assist in the preparation for audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
Qualifications
Previous experience in an accounts assistant or similar role is preferred.
Strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes.
Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new systems.
A good level of understanding in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 14.00-16.00 per hour
