As we continue to grow, we are strengthening our finance team and are seeking a Accounts Assistant to support the Group Financial Controller. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented, analytical finance professional to join a dynamic and fast-paced hospitality group.

About the Role:




We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistantto join our growing finance team. This role is vital in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments to suppliers, maintaining positive relationships with vendors, and supporting the overall efficiency of our finance operations.

Key Responsibilities:



Accurately process supplier invoices and credit notes. Ensure all invoices are matched to purchase orders and delivery notes where applicable. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies. Prepare weekly/monthly payment runs and maintain up-to-date records. Respond promptly to supplier queries, maintaining professional relationships. Assist in month-end closing tasks, including accruals and prepayment. Maintain the accounts payable ledger to ensure accuracy and compliance. Support with internal and external audits when required. Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and improve processes.

Key Requirements:



Previous experience in an accounts payable or finance assistant role (1-2 years minimum preferred). Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Good understanding of accounting principles and financial procedures. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (SUN, SAP, or similar). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable:



Experience working in a finance team within a medium to large organization. Experience in fast phased and high-volume environment. Degree level or equivalent.
