We are seeking a skilled Accounts Assistant to join our small office team. The ideal candidate will have experience with QuickBooks and Excel, with the ability to handle data management, financial analysis, and reporting. The role requires someone who is both organised and proactive, able to manage multiple tasks and deliver accurate results within a small charity environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Record and process financial transactions with a high degree of accuracy
Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow
Manage accounts payable and receivable
Prepare financial reports, including budgeting, forecasting, and project-specific analysis
Utilise Excel functions to support reporting and data presentation
Assist with grant accounting and restricted fund reporting
Liaise with external auditors and support with year-end processes
Provide general administrative support to the team as needed
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in an accounts or finance role, possibly within a charity or small organisation
Proficiency with QuickBooks and Excel
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with financial data
Organised, with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a small, collaborative team
Experience with charity accounting (e.g., restricted funds, grant reporting) is a plus, but not essential
