Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the organisation. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, and assisting with various accounting tasks. Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and processing of accounts payable and receivable transactions.
Perform data entry tasks to ensure accurate financial records.
Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate ledgers.
Support month-end closing processes by preparing necessary documentation.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely payments and resolve discrepancies.
Utilise accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) for various financial tasks.
Maintain organised files and documentation for audit purposes.
Assist in generating financial reports as required.
Requirements
Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage is essential.
Experience in data entry and familiarity with financial services is preferred.
Knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and willingness to learn new systems.

Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant role
or similar finance position
Knowledge of
