The Role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with our Bookkeeper and Commercial Team processing subcontractor invoices from receipt to payment.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for processing subcontractor invoices from receipt to payment.
Answering internal and external queries relating to subcontractor accounts and payments in a timely manner.
Working closely with the Commercial team to ensure that subcontractors are paid accurately and on time.
Carrying out daily bank reconciliations for company credit cards, ensuring all records are up-to-date and accurate.
Assisting the Bookkeeper with finance administration

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Previous administration experience (essential)
Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A to C (or equivalent) (essential) Experience within accounts payable (preferred)
Experience working with Sage (preferred although full training will be given)
Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy (essential)
Strong communication skills and a proactive approach (essential)
Excellent IT skills are required, focusing on Microsoft 365 and Excel spreadsheets (essential)
Working to tight deadlines (essential)
Ability to prioritise, use initiative and manage time effectively (essential)
