Job Description

Hamilton Robson, one of the fastest growing AV Technology companies in the UK with customers around the world, is seeking an Accounts Assistant to perform daily accounting tasks that will support our financial team. This job is full time Monday to Friday and is based in Omagh.

Successful candidates will work as part of the busy Accounts Team based in Omagh. They will provide bookkeeping and administrative support. With a proactive and enthusiastic attitude the candidate will play a vital role in the smooth running of day-to-day financial management.

Role responsibilities:



Provide administrative and bookkeeping support to the senior accounts team Entering financial transactions into our accounts software Reconciling invoices and identifying discrepancies Processing expense reports and reimbursement forms Maintain digital and physical financial records Assist in the processing of monthly payroll as needed Provide month and year-end and more general assistance to the senior accounts team as required Assist in Year End accounts process as needed Assist in the preparation and reporting of financial information or budgets as needed Respond to customer accounting queries and debtor control Engage with suppliers in relation to completeness of financial information.

Requirements and skills



Experience as an Accounting Assistant or in an industry-based accounting team preferably within Purchase Ledger Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping, financial systems and processes, experience in VAT and construction industry preferable Familiarity with finance regulations in various jurisdictions e.g. UK, Ireland and USA Good maths skills and attention to detail, with the ability to spot numerical errors Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks) Good time management and organisation skills Good communication skills Works well in a team and provides proactive support Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information Must have excellent attention to detail. The ability to manage various workload volumes is also essential

Qualifications



Ideally Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping, a Level 2 Certificate in Accounting or a Level 2 Certificate in Manual and computerised Bookkeeping Accounts Assistants may also be working towards obtaining accredited accounting qualifications through professional bodies like the Chartered Accountants Ireland (ACA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) Candidates without the relevant qualifications but who can demonstrate the necessary work experience required for the role will be considered for the post.
