Summary



We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic team at McCreath Accountancy in Paisley. This role is vital in supporting our bookkeeping and accounting operations and ensuring the smooth processing of financial transactions. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with various accounting tasks.

Your main responsibilities will include:



Responsibility for the bookkeeping routine for a portfolio of clients Preparing VAT returns Balance sheet reconciliations Bank reconciliations Maintaining periodic financial reporting for certain clients Completing work within agreed timescales and budgets Assist with implementing Xero and provide training and support for clients on these systems Assist colleagues as required Working with a varied client portfolio, the role will involve regular client contact Liaising with managers, directors and other staff

To be considered for this position, you should have the following:



Essential



Previous experience working within an accountancy firm in a similar role Knowledge of accounting systems such as Xero/Quickbooks Excellent communication skills Strong IT skills, including O365 and MS Teams Ability to work on own initiative and take responsibility for own workload Good technical/analytical skills, including the ability to analyse large datasets in Excel Be comfortable liaising with clients via email/phone/in person as a key part of the role is developing and maintaining client relationship

Desirable



Experience of implementing and onboarding clients on Quickbooks/Xero Experience in preparing management and financial accounts
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 25,000.00-30,000.00 per year
