About The Role

Accounts Assistant (Part-Time - 3 Days per Week)

Job Summary:
Lough Erne Resort is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Assistant to support our Finance team on a part-time basis (3 days per week). The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all accounting tasks. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a prestigious hospitality setting while maintaining work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records, including purchase and sales ledgers
Process supplier invoices, staff expenses, and purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner
Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on any discrepancies
Assist with credit control, issuing statements and communicating with clients regarding outstanding balances
Bank reconciliations and cash handling duties as required
Provide support during month-end processes and internal audits
Maintain orderly financial filing systems (both electronic and paper)
Liaise with other departments to ensure financial processes are followed correctly
Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc administrative and accounting tasks
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar finance/accounts role, ideally within hospitality or a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Excellent organisational and time management skills
A proactive and professional approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive financial data
Working Hours:
3 days per week (24 hours contract)
Flexibility may be required during peak financial periods (e.g., month-end/year-end)
