Job Description

Monday to Friday, 8.45am - 5pm (36.25 hours per week)

Are you an ambitious Accounts Assistant looking to take the next step in your career? Join a well-established firm of chartered accountants in Peterhead. You'll be part of an accounts team, working on a variety of tasks including bookkeeping, VAT returns, management accounts, year-end accounts preparation and tax return production.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills alongside experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and compile statutory year-end accounts

- Carry out bookkeeping duties

- Manage VAT returns and support management accounts preparation

- Collaborate with senior staff on accounting tasks

- Ensure the accuracy and timely delivery of financial reports

What You'll Need:

- Previous experience in an accountancy practice

- Experience in preparing year-end accounts

- Enthusiasm, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

- A proactive approach and the ability to hit the ground running
