The Role
We're looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our busy finance team. This full-time, permanent role is based at our Swansea site and will focus primarily on the purchase ledger, though wider finance support will also be part of the role.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their finance career, perhaps with some accounts experience or from an administrative background and now studying or planning to study a financial qualification. You'll receive hands-on training and valuable exposure within a fast-paced financial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Process high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes
Maintain and update supplier accounts
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
Assist with payment runs and maintain payment records
Support month-end ledger close procedures and wider finance activities
Liaise with internal departments to ensure timely invoice approvals
Provide administrative and finance support across the team
Assist with ad hoc finance tasks as needed
About You
Previous experience in a finance or accounting role
Proficient with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
Confident with IT and able to learn new systems quickly
A proactive team player with a can-do attitude
Ability to manage time effectively and work independently
