Job Description

We are looking to expand our accounts team with an enthusiastic person who has a 'can do' attitude and is experienced in accounts to work full time Monday - Friday 9.00-17.00.

Job purpose

:

Common tasks include: process Sales and Purchase invoices approx 100 per day; deal with accounts queries; process payments and receipts; creating invoices; filing; communicating with customers and suppliers.

The post provides both clerical and administrative support to managers, either as part of a team or individually depending on the task. The role plays a vital part in the administration and smooth-running of businesses.

Most work involves both written and oral communication, word processing and typing, and requires relevant skills such as IT, organisational and presentation skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES



Using a variety of software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, etc., to produce correspondence and documents and maintain presentations, records, spreadsheets and databases;

Processing Invoices and allocating cash

Liaising with staff in other departments and with external contacts; to investigate and resolve any issues

Organising and storing paperwork, documents and computer-based information;

Photocopying and printing various documents, sometimes on behalf of other colleagues.

Archive filing - to be kept on top of/purged appropriately

Ad-hoc admin duties as and when required

Day-to Day Accounts Processing



Setting up Purchase and Sales Ledger Accounts

Inputting purchase invoices - ensure that the correct authority and procedure has been obtained.

Process Sales invoicing and credit notes on Sage 50 and Clients portals

Process Monthly Rebates

Monthly statements

Carry out credit checks on potential new customers and set credit limits

Targets:



Ensure all data and information is recorded and transmitted in a timely and appropriate manner as required by the management team

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: 26,000.00-28,000.00 per year
